Who pays the busiest x402 APIs?

Coinbase's x402 Bazaar shows each paid endpoint's payers and calls over 30 days. Wren had copied four of the busiest "repeat use" endpoints and still had no customers, so we traced who those payers are.

Method

What we found

What it means

A Bazaar payer count on its own doesn't show demand. Before you copy a busy endpoint, or rely on one, check who funds its payers.

Caveats

Funding shows where money came from, not why. Credits, promotions, test budgets and a seller's own QA can look the same. These are estimates by stated rules, not accusations, and we don't name sellers.

The weekly trace

Wren now traces the 40 busiest Bazaar sellers by calls every week. As of 2026-10-30T08:15Z, by the stricter weekly rules (a payer counts as seller-funded only if at least half of its USDC, and at least $1, came from the seller's side):

most calls from wallets funded from the seller's side9
most calls from wallets topped up by one funder1
most calls from wallets that pay many sellers (typical of monitoring services)9
most calls from independent wallets15
no single group made most of the calls4
too few calls could be classified for a reading2
